Public Hearing on We the People Act, Wednesday November 8

The Boston Ward 19 Democratic Committee has steadfastly endorsed the We the People Act. The committee has received the following request:

I want to thank your Democratic committee for endorsing the We the People Act. We have listed your committee on our webpage as an endorsing organization. I am writing to request that you share with your members this emailed announcement of the public hearing on the We the People Act, H.1926. This act is a call for an amendment to the U.S. Constitution to clarify that Constitutional rights are exclusively for people, not corporations, and that money is not speech and consequently our government can place appropriate restrictions on financial contributions in political campaigns.

The Joint Committee on Veterans and Federal Affairs will hold a public hearing on Wednesday, Nov 8, 2017, at 2:00 pm in State House Hearing Rooms B1 & B2 for house bill, H.1926, the We the People Act.

We encourage your individual members to attend and speak in support of the House bill H.1926.

For those who want to show their individual support, but can not attend the hearing, they can email their support of H.1926 to the committee chairs.
Co-Chairs of the Joint Committee on Veterans and Federal Affairs
Senator Michael Rush,
Representative John Lawn,

I hope you will share this email with your committee members.

Thank you.

Leo Immonen
