The following information is important to all residents of Ward 19. The Special Joint Committee on Redistricting of the Massachusetts House and Senate has proposed new districts.The opportunities to comment on these districts, either at an open hearing or via submission from a web page, are only within the next few days, until Monday, October 18:
Click here for information on the redistricting. The proposed new House districts have Ward 19 divided among new 6th, 10th, 14th, and 15th Suffolk districts. The proposed new Senate districts have Ward 19 divided between new “Norfolk and Suffolk” and “Second Suffolk” districts.
On Friday, October 15, at 1:00 pm, The Special Joint Committee will hold a hearing to provide the public with the opportunity to comment on the draft State Senate and State House maps. Click here for meeting details.
