Larry DiCara to Join 11/9 BW19D Meeting

Election Day is upon us! As a reward for our work to support our candidates and causes in the final days of this campaign season, we have a special treat on the agenda for our next meeting.

Former Boston City Council President and longtime political watcher Larry DiCara will join us on Monday November 9, when the Boston Ward 19 Democratic Committee meets at 7 p.m.

Larry has agreed to discuss the election and what we can learn from the results.

You can attend and participate in the November 9 meeting virtually by Zoom or phone. Instructions can be found by clicking the “Meetings” tab at the top of this page.

We hope you can join and feel free to share this notice with others. And don’t forget to vote by 8 p.m. Tuesday, November 3.

Here’s more about Larry:

Larry DiCara was the youngest person ever elected to the Boston City Council; he served for ten years on the Council, including as its President, and has been an active citizen of the Greater Boston community for five decades.  He has been appointed by mayors and governors to serve on a number of public boards. He has also chaired A Better City, the Boston Municipal Research Bureau and other organizations and served as an officer and member of the Executive Committee of the Boston Bar Association. While on the City Council, he actively participated in many of the decisions which made Boston the city it is today: Quincy Market, Copley Place, Charlestown Navy Yard, etc. As an attorney in private practice, Larry represented a wide array of clients in cities and towns across the Commonwealth.
